The Fray at Carthage

Grammy-nominated band The Fray appeared in concert at Carthage on Sept. 17. Best known for the smash hit "How to Save a Life," The Fray filled Tarble Arena with soaring vocals and piano rock.

Their first single, "Over My Head (Cable Car)" off their debut album How to Save a Life, landed in the Billboard Top 10. In 2006, ABC used the album's title track "How to Save a Life" to promote the TV series "Grey's Anatomy." The song skyrocketed in the charts and became one of the biggest singles of the year.

Since then, The Fray has performed for sold-out crowds across the country, and received two Grammy nominations (Best Pop Performance for "Over My Head (Cable Car)" and Best Rock Performance "How to Save a Life"). The band's music has been featured on the popular TV series "Scrubs," "Grey's Anatomy," "Bones" and "One Tree Hill," as well as in HBO summer promotions.

The Fray's new self-titled album debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 in February. It includes the singles "You Found Me" and "Never Say Never."
