The Red Men will play Illinois Wesleyan at 5:30 p.m. Friday, March 12, at UW-Wisconsin Stevens Point's Quandt Field House.
Fan buses will be ready to load students at noon Friday in front of the Todd Wehr Center. Buses will depart from campus at 12:30 p.m. sharp. Buses are expected to arrive in Stevens Point by 4 p.m. The fan bus will depart and return to campus following the game. A Dean of Students Office staff member will chaperone the trip.
There is no cost for the bus ride, but students will be responsible for their game tickets ($4 for students), as well as their own food. Students are encouraged to purchase their game tickets in advance by calling (715) 346-4100. Making a reservation for the fan bus does not guarantee a ticket to the game.
Alumni Relations will sponsor a pizza reception in Stevens Point from 3:30 to 5 p.m. Friday at the campus food court. This event is open to alumni, students and Carthage community fans.
Buses will also be available so students can attend the Saturday, March 13, second-round game in Stevens Point when the Red Men are victorious Friday night. The March 13 game will be at 7 p.m. For this game, buses will be ready to load students at 2 p.m. Saturday in front of the Todd Wehr Center, and will depart from campus at 2:30 p.m. sharp. Buses are expected to arrive at Stevens Point by 6 p.m., and will depart and return to campus directly after the game.
The Lady Reds will take on George Fox University at 5 p.m. Friday, March 12, at Washington University in St. Louis.
The fan bus will be ready to load students at 9 a.m. Friday in front of the Todd Wehr Center, and will depart from campus at 9:30 a.m. sharp. The bus is expected to arrive at Washington University by 4 p.m. so that students can purchase their game tickets at the box office. Game tickets are $4 for students.
This is an overnight trip. A block of rooms has been reserved for students at a $79 rate at the Sheraton Clayton Plaza Hotel. This block of rooms will be held until 5 p.m. Wednesday; after Wednesday, rooms will be based on availability. Students must book their room at this hotel. To make a reservation, students will need to call (888) 337-1395 and refer to the NCAA Basketball Fan Block.
There is no cost for the bus ride, but students will be responsible for their own game tickets as well as for setting up and paying for their own meals and lodging.
When the Lady Reds win Friday's game, they will then play a second-round game at 7 p.m. Saturday, March 13. The bus will depart after that game and return to campus sometime early morning Sunday, March 14. If the Lady Reds are not victorious, the bus will load students at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 13, and depart at 10:30 a.m. A Dean of Students Office staff member will chaperone the trip.
