Full-Time Undergraduate (12-17 credits):
Some students are hesitant to consider attending a private college, thinking the cost is beyond their reach. That's not the case.
At Carthage College, more than 90% of all full-time students receive financial assistance. The average financial aid package
(grants, scholarships, loans, and work opportunity) covers a substantial amount of the cost of full-time enrollment.
Carthage's no-need scholarship program enables even
students from families with higher incomes to be eligible for financial assistance.
The Carthage Office of Student Financial Planning is your resource for making a higher education possible. Our goals are to provide you
with information about sources of funding, assist students in completing the Free Application for Federal
Student Aid (FAFSA) and provide counsel when you have questions or are experiencing unusual circumstances.
Remember: Applying early for both admission and financial aid maximizes your opportunity to receive financial aid.

and a credit equal to 2 percent of the deferred amount will be credited to your account.
Option 2: A two payment option is available with one half the deferred amount due by August 15 and the balance payable January 15.
Credit card payments are allowed with this option (Visa, Mastercard or Discover).
Option 3: The deferred amount can be divided into eleven equal payments which will be due on the first of each month from July through

Option 5: PLUS (Parent Loan to Undergraduate Students) enables parents with good credit histories to borrow for dependent
undergraduate students who are enrolled at least half time. The annual maximum for a PLUS is the difference between the cost of attendance and the
total financial aid received. Although the interest rate fluctuates, annually it is capped at 9 percent. More information...
Option 6: Alternative Loans are available to students providing they meet the specified requirements. Each of these loans have
different eligibility requirements. More information...
Option 7: Federal Work Study or Campus Employment is a great way for students to assist in contributing towards educational
expenses. Students who qualify for Federal Work Study will have this reflected in their financial aid award. Students who do not qualify for the Federal
Work Study program may participate in our Campus Employment program. Each program pays a minimum wage of $5.90 per hour and allows students
to work 8 to 10 hours per week. Earnings are subject to both state and federal income taxes. Since wages are actually earned, these are not considered
a direct award of financial aid to a student's account. Students choosing to apply wages to their account may do so. Simply contact the Business
Office to set up a student employment monthly payment plan: 262-551-6200.
