Meet Ronald 

"I've joined Phi Kappa Sigma fraternity. It has been great, and has opened up opportunties for internships and jobs through alumni."

Hometown: Milwaukee, Wis.

Majors: Criminal Justice and Psychology

Minor: German

Career Goal: To become a forensic psychologist.

Interesting classes and great professors drew Ron Harris to Carthage's German program. The Milwaukee, Wis., sophomore has been speaking German since kindergarten, he said. As a prospective student, he applied for Carthage's Modern Language Scholarship. "I was impressed by the professors I met with for the German scholarship interview," he said.

He is pursuing a minor in German, to complement a double major in criminal justice and psychology. He hopes to become a forensic psychologist.

Favorite professor: "Herr Professor Dr. Baer," Ron says. "He is very patient and understanding of all students at all different levels."

Favorite class: "German 308, because you really get to know Germany."

Toughest class: "My toughest class would be Public Policy with Professor Mast. The work was very detailed and complex."

Favorite spot on campus: TARC.

Opportunities he's had at Carthage: "I've joined Phi Kappa Sigma fraternity. It has been great, and has opened up opportunities for internships and jobs through alumni."

Favorite moments on campus: "Homecoming and intermural sports."
