Honors

Honors in the Major

Whatever their majors, Honors students at Carthage collaborate with faculty mentors, conduct independent research, and share their discoveries outside the classroom.

Most departments at Carthage offer students with majors in their departments the opportunity to graduate with honors in the major. Usually, this involves fulfilling Honors contracts in advanced courses in the major, but individual departments may have modified requirements. Honors in the major may be accomplished either as part of "All College Honors" or on its own.

See a checklist of basic requirements for honors in the major.

Some departments have other requirements.  Please visit the department's web page or contact the department chair for additional information.
