Information Systems

High Demand for Expertise

Employment of information system managers is expected to grow faster than the average for all occupations through the year 2016, according to the U.S. Department of Labor’s Bureau of Labor Statistics.

The information systems program at Carthage provides students with the advanced technical knowledge and business skills they’ll need to succeed in this growing field.

The information systems major at Carthage builds on the strengths of Carthage’s business and computer science programs, adding specific coursework that gives students both practical and theoretical approaches to the information systems field. Students take carefully selected courses in general business, computer science, and information systems theory and practice, as well as selected electives in technology and other fields.

Carthage’s location gives information systems students an additional benefit: excellent internship and career opportunities. Carthage is located midway between Chicago and Milwaukee in one of the major business corridors of the United States.

The program is accredited by the International Assembly for Collegiate Business Education.
