Interlibrary Loan is available to request materials that are not owned by Hedberg Library from other libraries. There is no charge for loans to Carthage students, faculty, and staff. The average time needed for Interlibrary Loan transaction is 7-14 days. To avoid delays, always check the Carthage Catalog(for books) and Our Full Text Title Journal Search before submitting requests. If you have any questions ask at the MyCarthage Resource Center or contact the Interlibrary Loan Librarian at 262-551-5900.

How to renew Interlibrary Loan materials?
Requests for renewal should be made at least five (5) days before the due date. Students, faculty, and staff will be notified via email whether the material can be renewed and a new due date. There are several ways that you can request a renewal of ILL materials and in all correspondence please include the IL: Number on the band of the book to expedite the process.
What about Overdue and Billed Interlibrary Loan Materials?
There are no overdue charges for Interlibrary Loan materials. However, if the borrowed materials have not been returned, the patron will be charged for the replacement cost of the material. The cost is determined by the lending institution and may vary from $60-$100 per item.
