Choosing Active, Measurable Verbs

Your objective should have two parts:
1) A technology and 2) the task you (or your students) will undertake using that technology.

Objectives work best when they use active, measurable verbs. This helps when assessing whether an objective has been met. Looking through Bloom's Taxonomy of Educational Objectives can be a useful tool for creating objectives that are easy to understand and measurable. Below is a chart of Bloom's Taxonomy with verb suggestions related to each category. Look through the list and chose a verb that aligns nicely with your intended objective. You could also use the list to help you brainstorm possible ITOs by trying out different verbs.
