    Professor Sarah Cyganiak is a Wisconsin native who earned a B.A. in Spanish and Economics at the University of Michigan in 1998, an M.A. in Spanish language and literature at the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2000; and her Ph.D. from the University of Michigan in 2011. Her most recent research interests include the 20th century writer/philosopher María Zambrano, language pedagogy and the Camino de Santiago.  Besides teaching all levels of Spanish classes, Prof. Cyganiak supervises the target language experts (Spanish-speaking international graduate students) in the elementary Spanish language program.
