Audrey Dehdouh

Audrey Dehdouh was born in Paris and moved to Orléans, where she lived until she graduated from high school. She attended the Université de Caen Basse-Normandie, where she majored in Anglophone Studies.

"During my first-year as a master’s student, I have been an exchange student in the Department of American Studies at the University of Kansas," she says. "I am currently teaching French at Carthage and studying to complete a master's in general education."

This is Ms. Dehdouh's second time in the United States. She first visited as an exchange student; now she is both teaching and studying.

"Carthage is a small college, which makes it a very different experience from the one I had in a large state university," she says.

"Culturally speaking, the biggest and most difficult aspect to handle is the work ethic. As a French person, it is hard for me to get used to the rhythm here!" she says. "I love living in the U.S.A., but I often miss my laidback French way of life!"
