Miguel Rojo

Miguel Rojo came to the United States immediately after finishing school, eager to learn more about American life.

“While studying I always wanted to visit this country,” he said. “When I was offered such a great opportunity, I got very happy. Now looking back, I do not want to think about how it would have been if I had decided not to come. I have met amazing people who have taught me many different things.”

Miguel grew up in Salamanca, a city in Spain, and attended the Universidad de Salamanca. He studied English and Linguistics, “as books are my passion,” he said. “For a year, I went to study abroad, in United Kingdom, where I had my first real-life contact with English. When I came back, I started my journey to finish my degree and I got a scholarship to go to the States.”
