Target Language Experts

Nozomi Fukazawa

Nozomi Fukazawa was born in Saitama, a bedroom suburb near Tokyo in Japan. She is teaching Japanese as a Target Language Expert at Carthage.

She has studied Japanese pedagogy in Aoyama Gakuin University in Tokyo.

"I came to Carthage College to gain experiences teaching Japanese and to study for my master's degree in education," she said.

"To teach Japanese has been my dream since I saw foreign students who were studying Japanese on TV. I was so glad that they had interest in Japanese, and I felt that I wanted foreign people to know more about Japan and I hoped to teach Japanese to them."

She said she is very happy teaching Japanese at Carthage. "I am also happy to be here because of the wonderful life in the United States," she said. "The life in Kenosha is very fresh for me. I'm really enjoying meeting people who have a different background from mine, and having precious experiences with them here."
