During Spring Break 2008 (March 14-21), the Carthage College Gospel Messengers traveled on a mission trip to the U.S. Virgin Islands for their 2008 Spring Tour. The tour included performances at the historic Frederick Lutheran Church (St. Thomas), one of the oldest Lutheran churches in the western hemisphere; Nazareth Evangelical Lutheran Church (St. John); and a performance at the Emancipation Gardens (St. Thomas) as part of the celebration for Music History Month in the Virgin Islands.

As is often tradition with the Gospel Messengers, the performances during the 2008 Spring Tour included many times of powerful praise and worship. The tour offered many once-in-a-lifetime experiences. Photos cannot even begin to fully illustrate the beauty of the U.S. Virgin Islands, and the experiences of this tour will remain with the choir members forever.
The 2008 Spring Tour was a powerful experience for the Gospel Messengers, which once again allowed them to spread their ministry beyond the campus of Carthage College and continue forward with their mission to make disciples of all nations.
