Neuroscience

Sample Schedules

The interdisciplinary nature of the neuroscience major allows students to double major or minor in other academic disciplines. In particular, a number of courses in the neuroscience major also satisfy requirements in the psychology, biology and chemistry majors.

Psychology at Carthage
Biology at Carthage
Chemistry at Carthage

Students interested in both neuroscience and biology, or neuroscience and chemistry, should contact biology professor Patrick Pfaffle about their options. The neuroscience major requires 50 credit hours. A major in biology or chemistry requires 56 credit hours. While there is some overlap of coursework between the biology or chemistry major and the neuroscience major, students may want to explore majoring in neuroscience with a minor in biology and/or chemistry.
