
The Carthage Chamber Music series presents its second concert of the season. The Ying Quartet will perform at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 13.

Constantly exploring the boundaries of chamber music, this award-winning string quartet has earned recognition for its brilliant concert performances.
Featuring Timothy Ying (violin), Janet Ying (violin), Phillip Ying (viola) and David Ying (cello), the Ying Quartet projects its musical ideas with exceptional energy, intelligence and passion. The quartet is winner of the 1993 Naumburg Chamber Music Award, Quartet-in-Residence at Harvard University since 2001, and Resident Quartet for "No Boundaries," a series of innovative, multidisciplinary performances at Symphony Space in New York City since 2002.
The concert will be held in the A.F. Siebert Chapel. Tickets cost $15, $10 for students and senior citizens. A season pass is $30, $20 for students and senior citizens. No reservations are required. Tickets will be available at the door. For ticket information, call (262) 551-5859.
The Chamber Music Series is made possible with a grant from the Helen C. Smolenski Chamber Music Fund of the Racine Community Foundation. The series continues on Sunday, April 11, with a 3 p.m. concert by Manhattan Brass.
