Carthage will host a dedication ceremony for the newly renovated Tarble Arena on Saturday, Feb. 13. The public is invited to join the celebration.

The day’s activities begin with a women’s basketball game at 5 p.m. Cheer on the Lady Reds as they play North Central in Tarble Arena.
A pizza reception will be held at 6:30 p.m. in the Field House of the N.E. Tarble Athletic and Recreation Center.
At 7:30 p.m., the Carthage Red Men play North Central. A dedication ceremony will be held during half time of the men’s basketball game.

The dazzling $13.5 million renovation of the former Physical Education Center was completed in January 2009. The new Tarble Arena houses games and practices for men’s basketball, women’s basketball, men’s volleyball and women’s volleyball. The facility features a parquet floor, arena seating for 2,385 fans, a giant video board, and state-of-the-art sound and lighting equipment.
The building also includes an exercise physiology/athletic training rehabilitation laboratory, classroom space, seven locker rooms, coaches’ offices, and an indoor golf practice center.
