James Bittman, Chapman Executive in Residence at Carthage, and faculty member at the Options Institute and the Illinois Institute of Technology, will speak at Carthage on Wednesday, March 17. His presentation on options trading will be held at 4 p.m. in Todd Wehr Center 128-B.

Mr. Bittman is the author of two books: "Options for the Stock Investor" and "Trading Index Options." He teaches courses for public and institutional investors, and has presented custom courses throughout the United States, Europe, South America and Southeast Asia.
Mr. Bittman began his trading career as an equity options market maker at the Chicago Board Options Exchange in 1980. From 1983 to 1993, he was a commodity options member of the Chicago Board of Trade, where he traded options on financial and agricultural futures.
He received a BA from Amherst College in 1972, and an MBA from Harvard University in 1974. He is also a member of the faculty of the Illinois Institute of Technology, where he teaches in the master's level Financial Markets and Trading Program.
