Carthage art professor one of 14 artists in Chicago Artists Coalition Gallery

September 27, 2010

Adjunct art professor Connie Wolfe was selected through a juried competition to be a gallery artist for the Chicago Artists Coalition Gallery. She is one of 14 new Coalition Gallery artists for the 2010-11 year.

The gallery will introduce the 14 artists at its first exhibition of the year, "Bright New Talent." An opening reception will be held from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 1. The exhibit continues through Friday, Nov. 5.

Ranging in age, experience, education, global origin, and point of view, Coalition Gallery artists create works that vary widely in content, media and process. As diverse as the artists are, they are all emerging artists and presently call Chicago home. The 13 other artists are:

  • Adrienne Pike
    Bernell Loeb
    Brad Nugent
    Bryan Boomershine
    Christie Helm
    Dimitri Pavlotsky
    Jori Foreman
    Kevin Wisor
    Nathalie Gribinski
    Robin Dluzen
    Sarah Rehmer
    Shawn Stucky
Zach Mory (formerly taught at Carthage)
