Carthage presents 'Models of Leadership' Speaker Series

February 3, 2011

Carthage presents the "Models of Leadership" Speaker Series Feb. 7-March 8.

This series runs concurrently with the "Creating in the Wild Zone" art exhibit at the H. F. Johnson Gallery of Art. Showcasing the talents of Carthage women, the exhibit opened Feb. 2 and continues through March 12.

The Models of Leadership Speaker Series, sponsored by the Carthage Women's Faculty Learning Community, will feature faculty, staff, alumni and students who will speak on how we view leadership, what being a leader entails, and what leadership characteristics employers look for in potential employees.

Closing our series will be Carthage graduate Dr. Susan L. Johnson, who will share the story of two unusual amateur female historians of Wild West hero Kit Carson and the impact they had prior to the development of Women's History Studies. This will broaden our understanding of what "Creating in the Wild Zone" means.
