Carthage student chosen to present at MUSE Undergraduate Literature Conference

October 12, 2011

English major Eric Ross, '12, was chosen to present a paper at the MUSE Undergraduate Literature Conference on Oct. 1, 2011, at Illinois Wesleyan University. The conference was sponsored by Sigma Tau Delta, the national English honor society. His paper, titled " 'Who's There?' Identity and the Ghost in Shakespeare's Hamlet," surveyed the debate about the origins and nature of the ghost of Hamlet's father, taking a psychoanalytic perspective to argue that the ghost arises from Hamlet's own diseased imagination.
