Dodsworth planned to have an adventure in Paris, but he finds that Duck has stowed away in his trunk. Duck wants to have an adventure too. Dodsworth ends up having his adventure in New York City, while trying to catch Duck, who evades him at every turn. Beginning readers will begin laughing on the first page and keep giggling through the entire adventure as they look for duck who is hiding on almost every page.
