CARTHAGE COLLEGE SPIRIT TEAM
The purpose of the Spirit Team is to promote school spirit and support Carthage athletic teams. The Carthage College Spirit Team includes both the Red Hots Dance Team and the Torchie Mascot Team. The Spirit Team is an outstanding organization that works hard, but has plenty of fun.
Members of the Spirit Team consist of talented, motivated and dedicated young people. Currently, our styles of dance include jazz, hip hop, and poms. We recently became a competitive dance team as of 2009, attending a national competition.
Every summer, the Spirit Team attends summer camp at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. The Red Hots learn various dance routines and sidelines, practice technical skills as a team, and bond with teammates. Torchies also gain a valuable experience at camp, learning mascot techniques and working in groups to perform skits.
