Campus Satellite Shuttle

The Carthage Satellite Shuttle provides a continuous loop of service between Lot V, the main campus and the satellite parking lot (lot P) located at 912 35th Street during service times. Use of the Satellite Shuttle is free to all Lot P and Lot V permit holders and their guests.

Hours of Operation for the Shuttle

The loop takes approximately 30 minutes with reasonable waiting times. The shuttle will continuously drive this loop during these hours making a stop at each location approximately twice each hour.

Non-Service-Hours Lot P Ride Service

Lot P permit holders can request a transport between Lot P and the main campus during non-shuttle service hours. Those hours are Monday through Friday 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. The Security Office provides a ride service to Lot P only. Students are asked to call 20 minutes ahead of their departure time. The Security Office number is 551 5911.

With the opening of the traffic light controlled pedestrian crossing of Sheridan Road (Hwy 32) daylight hour ride requests to Lot V are discontinued. Lot V is on the shuttle stop loop and hence, service is provided during the hours of shuttle service.

Shuttle Users Rules of Conduct

1. Common courtesy rules at all times.
2. Please sit in a designated seat and use of seatbelts is required.
3. No smoking, open intoxicants, loud music or distracting behavior is allowed.
4. Maximum occupancy is limited by the vehicle design. Overcrowding is not allowed.
5. The driver cannot deviate from the shuttle route. Please do not ask.
6. The driver may ask you to leave the shuttle if you violate these rules of conduct.
