Girls Resident / Commuter Camp

Session I – June 17-21, 2012

Ages 10 – 18
Tuition: $395 for residents, $295 for commuters

This camp setting presents a terrific opportunity for girls to engage in a challenging and enjoyable curriculum. High school and college playing opportunities for girls have increased rapidly and this week of instruction will provide better preparation to meet the challenges of the game. Daily training sessions will provide chances to develop technical skills and tactical play. Our experienced coaches will share insights on how to be successful at the collegiate level. Campers will enjoy multiple opportunities to compete in small-sided games as well as full-sided evening matches. Each girl takes home a written evaluation. With 24-hour supervision from female counselors, campers will receive the best possible instruction and care from the Carthage College Soccer Camp.

The camp week offers daily opportunities for swimming, soccer, tennis, rec time, films, and demonstrations in the brand new stadium facility featuring an AstroPlay® surface. Peer talks with members of the Carthage College women's team highlight this week of developing skills and friendships that will have lasting impact on the attendees. * The residential program will accept 9-year-olds with parent and director's consent.

Players will be grouped according to age and skill.

Resident Camp

Resident campers will be housed in the college's traditional residence halls. Tuition includes all meals, instruction, recreation, and a Soccer Camp training T-shirt to take home. Special registration procedures will be sent in the mail, and be available at drop-off locations. Tuition: $395.

Commuters

Commuters participate in the entire resident camp program, beginning with registration on Sunday. A commuter begins the day at 8:15 a.m., concluding at the end of the day's activities. Tuition for commuters includes lunch and dinner each day, instruction, a camp shirt, and recreation. Special registration procedures will be sent in the mail as well as drop-off and pick-up locations. Tuition: $295.

Carthage College Goalkeepers Camp
(in conjunction with the residential/commuter camp)

The Carthage College Goalkeeper Camp provides special instruction for the goalkeepers. Goalkeepers will train separately from the field players twice during the day, and have the opportunity to display their skills in the evening games. Goalkeepers will take part in functional training, focusing on the technical, tactical, psychological, and fitness demands of the position. Campers will interact with coaches who will truly get to know them, developing the skills necessary for this demanding position. Campers will share the same exciting experiences as the field players in the resident camp. Goalkeepers will leave with a written evaluation, highlighting both strengths and areas needing attention. Tuition: $395 and held in conjunction with the resident camps.
