American Sociology Association
This web site offers news on the profession of sociology, including job postings, publications, career guidance, research and statistics, and more. The student section of the web site includes information about careers in the field, guide to graduate schools, and honors programs.

Wisconsin Sociological Association
The Wisconsin Sociological Association aims to improve the instruction of sociology, encourage sociological research, and stimulate discussion of sociological issues. The association has awards for undergraduate papers.

The Midwest Sociological Society
This is a professional membership organization of academic and applied sociologists and students. Look to its web site for news about awards and grants, jobs, opportunities, and annual meetings.

Society for the Study of Social Problems
This is an interdisciplinary group of scholars, practitioners, advocates and students. Includes links to SSSP publications, awards and scholarships, and professional development.
