Criteria and Guidelines for Implementation

The WAC Committee will accept late proposals through February 28, 2008. However, submitting a late proposal may not allow time for the negotiation that is sometimes necessary to secure approval.

To request a WI designation, please complete the chart below. The information will allow the WAC Committee to determine whether your class meets the WI Criteria. You will be contacted if clarification is needed.

Writing assignment or type of assignment (e.g., journal, term paper) Do not include in-class exams
Criterion A		 Number of pages required
Criterion D		 Percentage of student's grade based on this assignment or type of assignment
Criterion C		 Describe how you will help students successfully complete the assignment, and when during the semester this assignment will be addressed.

If you have a syllabus developed and available in an acceptable file format (.doc, .rtf, .pdf), the committee would appreciate being able to examine it as well. Use the Browse button to find the file on your computer. The file (one file, please) will be uploaded when you hit Submit below.
