The Front Office learns from Minnesota Wild President Matt Majka

Students from The Front Office, Carthage’s sports management student organization, had the opportunity to hear from Matt Majka, president and alternate governor for the Minnesota Wild National Hockey League team.

The Front Office students in a virtual meeting with Minnesota Wild President Matt Majka. This meeting took place on Nov. 15 through the organization’s “Lunch With the League” guest speaker series. During a very engaging and interactive conversation, students learned about Mr. Majka’s journey through the sports industry. Mr. Majka shared tips and advice for professional development, as well as unique perspectives of the current sport business landscape, particularly in hockey.

This meeting took place a week after students had a similar meeting and conversation with trailblazing agent Molly Fletcher, also featured in Carthage’s Spotlight on Sports series.
