Carthage offers both a major and a minor in criminal justice. To earn a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice from Carthage, students must complete the Carthage Core, Distribution Requirements, and the criminal justice major requirements listed below.

The criminal justice major consists of 36 credits, including a four-credit Senior Seminar. Students may choose to pursue either a criminal justice track or a pre-law track within the major. Students considering law school are encouraged to complete the pre-law track within the criminal justice major.
