Meet our French TLEs
Yanis Fenelon (France)
“Bonjour! My name is Yanis and I’m from France! I’m a native speaker and lifetime consumer of French culture, as I grew up in Nantes, a city with a great artistic and cultural richness as well as an interesting history. It’s also the city where I completed a bachelor’s degree in English Studies as well as a master’s degree in foreign language teaching. Whether it is about music, literature, movies, food, or about the traditions and the language, I would greatly appreciate sharing my knowledge with students who are interested in learning French and open to foreign cultures, just like I am, as curiosity is my biggest passion. I’m sure we will have a great time together at Carthage. See you on campus!”
Rachel Roy (Canada)
“Bonjour! My name is Rachel and I am from the province of Québec, Canada. I have a bachelor’s in teaching English as a second language. Be it movies or books, I’m passionate about all aspects relating to languages; I’m especially interested in the relationship between language and culture. This opportunity here at Carthage is invaluable for me since it will allow me to meet new people from all walks of life. I’m looking forward to meeting all of you!”
