Graphic Design Student Organizations
Carthage has more than 130 student clubs and organizations through which students can get involved, explore possible careers, meet other students, work closely with faculty advisors, and perform customer service. See a full list of Carthage student organizations on The Harbor, our website for student organizations.
Centrique, Carthage’s student-published art and literary magazine, is published each year with a collection of writings and artworks submitted throughout the school year. Pieces are judged and awarded in a variety of areas. Centrique is currently celebrating its 40th year.
The Current is Carthage’s student-run news website and biweekly news magazine. It affords students the opportunity to develop as graphic designers, reporters, photographers, and business managers. It is open to students of all majors and encourages individual initiative and involvement.
DRAFT is the Carthage chapter of the American Institute of Graphic Art. Members of this student organization build their portfolios, network, attend studio tours, and actively critique one another’s work. Each semester, they organize exhibitions to display their work. The group also pursues work with real clients.
