The Bachelor of Science in Nursing program at Carthage features an elite curriculum designed to incorporate best practices in the education of professional nurses. Graduates will be recognized for their astute judgment, unfailing ethical practice, and outstanding, compassionate care.

Nurses provide care in hospitals, clinics, schools, community health centers, long-term care facilities, hospices, and in communities as community health nurses.

Employment of registered nurses is projected to grow much faster than the average for all occupations, growing 15 percent from 2016 to 2026 according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics. Growth will occur for a number of reasons, including an increased emphasis on preventative care, growing rates of chronic conditions, and demand for healthcare services as the baby-boom generation is living longer and more active lives. Salary depends on experience and job responsibilities and varies by job setting. The median annual salary for registered nurses was $71,730 in May 2018.
