Photography Student Organizations
Carthage has more than 130 student clubs and organizations through which students can get involved, explore possible careers, meet other students, work closely with faculty advisors, and perform customer service. Art Club
Art Club is open to all majors and artistic abilities. Members come together once a week to create, appreciate, and learn about art in a relaxing and stress-free environment. All students are invited to attend when they can to learn new creative skills and abilities.
Centrique Magazine
Centrique is the campus creative arts magazine. Throughout the year students, faculty, and staff submit written and visual artwork to the magazine. Cash prizes are awarded to the top three pieces in the fall and spring.
DRAFT
DRAFT is the graphic design club on campus, run by designers for designers. Founded in 2008, the organization is for students who want to expand their knowledge, develop their portfolios, network, and share ideas. This friendly environment encourages personal growth and development in students looking to gain experience outside of the classroom.
Kappa Pi
Kappa Pi is an international honorary art fraternity. At Carthage, the chapter name is Zeta Alpha Psi. The organization’s goal is to spread art among the community, reaching beyond the campus.
Photography Club
Carthage Photography Club’s goal is to educate and inspire students about the art of taking photos, editing, and sharing content. This club will help students find a space to express their creativity with like-minded people and enhance their skills.
The Current
The Current is Carthage’s student-run news website and biweekly news magazine. It affords students the opportunity to develop as graphic designers, reporters, photographers, and business managers. It is open to students of all majors and encourages individual initiative and involvement.
