Alejandra Arcos (U.S./Mexico) Target Language Expert

Alejandra Arcos (U.S./Mexico)
aarcos@carthage.edu
TLE: 2021-22

“¡Hola! My name is Alejandra. I was born in Kenosha but I lived half of my life in Mexico. In my free time, I love going camping and being outside; I also enjoy cooking and baking. I chose Carthage because I’m an alumna and had an amazing experience and would love to provide a great experience helping others learn Spanish as well. I believe that speaking Spanish has become a necessity in our country by providing more opportunities to bilingual people. And I can’t wait to share my culture with people in Carthage and learn from others as well.”

TLE: 2021-22

“¡Hola! My name is Franco Basili. I was born in Tandil, Argentina. Since I finished my course of studies in choral conducting in 2014, I’ve been working in different cities teaching music at school and conducting children choirs, chamber choirs, and senior choirs. I have also finished my course of studies in piano just before I arrived in Carthage. During this time I also had the opportunity to join the World Youth Choir in 2016 and 2018. For me, that was one of the most wonderful musical and cultural experiences I have had. I love arts and culture and I’m really happy to have this opportunity of studying in another country within an intercultural context, teaching my mother language, and learning about Carthage’s musical life.”
