The Carthage College Music Department will host the annual Lakeside Choral Festival on Nov. 1, 3, 8, 10, and 12, 2021. Choirs are invited to participate in a performance/clinic session with a Carthage College music professor.

Choirs are invited to sign up for a 40-minute choral performance/clinic session, during which time your choir may sing up to two pieces of your choosing. Sessions will run simultaneously, and choirs will be assigned to work with one of the following faculty members:

Choirs that can be on campus over the noon hour are invited to participate in an informal concert where each choir may share one of its prepared choral works; a Carthage choral ensemble will also perform. A campus tour may be scheduled if desired.

The cost of the event with lunch in the Carthage dining hall is $5 per student; without lunch, $2 per student. Directors receive a free lunch ticket, and an additional free adult ticket will be given for every 20 students participating.

How to register

Space is limited for the Lakeside Choral Festival. Participation and scheduling for the daylong event are on a first-come, first-served basis. Advance registration is required. Advance payment (payable to Carthage College) is appreciated but not required. You may bring the check with you to the festival.
