Carthage College fraternities and sororities recruit new members every fall and spring. Fall Recruitment happens in September. Spring Recruitment happens in February.
- Recruitment is only open to students with second-semester freshman or higher class status. First-semester freshmen are not eligible to join a social fraternity or sorority in the fall semester.
- Interested students must meet a GPA requirement of at least 2.0 for fraternities and at least 2.5 for sororities. Some chapters have higher GPA requirements, and students are encouraged to inquire about requirements at recruitment events.
Sorority Recruitment — Spring 2018
Feb. 19-25, 2018
Sorority recruitment will take place Feb. 19-25, 2018. Women interested in participating in sorority recruitment can sign up online, or sign up in person Feb. 12-16 during lunch and dinner times at the Dining Common Tables.
There is a mandatory orientation session for all women participating in recruitment at 6 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 18, in the Campbell Student Union Auditorium. There is a small $15 fee which covers the cost of a recruitment T-shirt and administrative costs. Women will receive more information about this orientation session when they sign up for recruitment.
Fraternity Recruitment — Spring 2018
Feb. 21-23, 2018
Fraternity recruitment will take place Feb. 21-23, 2018. Men and women (for a co-ed fraternity) who are interested in joining a fraternity should be on the look-out for advertisements for times and location of fraternity recruitment events. It is strongly encouraged to attend multiple events to determine your best fit within an organization. Fraternities will be holding recruitment events on the following dates:

Tau Kappa Epsilon, 5-7 p.m.
Phi Kappa Sigma, 7-9 p.m.
Feb. 23, 2018

Tau Sigma Chi, 7-9 p.m.
