Carthage Career Services works to connect employers to qualified students and graduates. Carthage offers more than 50 degree programs, providing both a strong liberal arts foundation and career-oriented training. Learn how Carthage can help fulfill your hiring needs.
Recruit top students and graduates
Employers may post job listings at no cost on Handshake, an online job and internship posting board. Handshake is replacing Carthage Career Connection, powered by Purple Briefcase. This new system allows employers to review candidates’ resumes, manage interview schedules, and retrieve application materials. Carthage recommends that employers begin transferring job postings from Purple Briefcase into Handshake.
Find top interns
Career Services works with employers to establish high-quality internship programs. Carthage interns may work part or full time, and may work during the summer or the academic term. Successful partnerships have been established with employers of every size, including Abbott Laboratories, Accenture, the City of Kenosha, Jockey International, Kohl’s Corporation, SC Johnson, Snap-on Inc., and Walgreens.
Mentor and Guest Speaker Opportunities
Impact a student’s career
Career Services hosts guest speakers on employment-related topics at its Career Planning and Life After Carthage classes during January Term, as well as at special campus events. Individuals with experience in a particular field are also welcome to serve as mentors for students who are interested in that field. Companies and organizations that employ Carthage graduates can encourage them to attend the popular Alumni Networking Dinner.
