Carthage and COVID-19

Faculty and Staff Resources

As we move forward into the 2021-22 academic year, the resources below remain available for faculty and staff working to support our students as we return to in-person learning.

Returning to On-Campus Work

The goal of the College is to be together again on-campus in the fall term. To do so, we need to make the transition back to campus. Faculty and staff should be prepared to return to campus as of Aug. 1, 2021, as previously communicated. Employees will need to follow the campus guidelines unless otherwise noted or approved through official channels.

Faculty and Staff Accommodations

We have learned new ways to teach, learn, and work. While we will continue to integrate new methods of delivery, our plans do not include widespread remote activities. Some members of our community may need accommodations. Those who have circumstances that would require modifications will be able to follow current ADA guidelines for accommodations. Individuals who believe they may need accommodations this fall should contact their dean/supervisor and work with Human Resources as soon as possible for planning purposes.

Physical and Mental Wellness

Carthage is doing its best to collect and disseminate information in a timely and clear manner as the health and safety of our community is our top priority. We realize that we have faced particularly stressful situations this past year and want to make sure that we are able to support the health of our community both physically and mentally. Employees have access to a variety of services. One resource is the Carthage EAP program. This program is available to all employees regardless of participation in College-sponsored benefits. To access the College EAP, please visit www.guidanceresources.com (Username: LFGsupport; Password: LFGsupport1) or call 888-628-4824 for more information.

Travel Guidelines

Restrictions on College-sponsored travel have been lifted. Approved travel may resume at this time as long as there are not any CDC travel restrictions to the intended destination. Unvaccinated individuals traveling internationally will need to quarantine for 10 days before returning to campus.
