Non-Carthage Events Scheduled at Carthage

What will happen to non-Carthage events that are scheduled to occur at Carthage?
Carthage is following all guidelines issued by the State of Wisconsin and other public health agencies. Therefore, all events scheduled to occur on campus in the coming weeks have been canceled or postponed, and refunded any initial expenses with the College.

Specific Events

Is the May Commencement ceremony for the Class of 2020 canceled?
In light of the extraordinary circumstances brought about by the spread of COVID-19, we have made the very difficult decision to halt plans for an in-person Commencement celebration in May. We understand how difficult this is for our graduates. With input from you and your families, we are confident that we can develop an alternate plan to celebrate your graduation milestone. Graduates will receive more information in the coming days.

What about to Grad Gear-Up?
The Commencement Committee is currently working with campus partners and external vendors to create a Virtual Grad Gear Up for graduates to complete all the tasks associated with graduation — tasks that would normally occur at our in-person Grad Gear Up — at a later date in April. We will update seniors and their families as soon as all necessary preparations have been completed.

Will Carthage’s Giving Day take place as scheduled?
No. In light of the extraordinary circumstances brought about by the spread of COVID-19, we have made the very difficult decision to postpone our 2020 Red & Ready Giving Day, originally scheduled for Thursday, March 26. Our top concern is for the well-being of our students, employees, and Carthaginians around the world — as well as the people alongside you in your communities.
