It is very important that everyone follows the event protocols, even if they have been vaccinated. Protecting the health of our guests, students, and employees is a top priority. Carthage has put the following processes in place. We will continue to evaluate our visitor policies in the months ahead to protect our campus community, neighbors, and guests as much as possible. All campus guests are expected to follow health and safety protocols while on campus.
Masks and Face Coverings
Fully vaccinated patrons will no longer be required to wear masks on campus. Unvaccinated patrons will need to wear a mask or face covering in all indoor spaces on campus. In cases where distancing cannot be accommodated or effectively managed, masking may be required for all patrons to maintain safety.
For unvaccinated individuals, face coverings must cover the nose and mouth and be worn throughout the duration of the performance. If you arrive without a mask, you can purchase one before entering the building for $5.
If you have any of the following symptoms, it is important you do not come to campus. If you have tickets, please contact the Fine Arts Box Office at 262-551-6661 as soon as possible.
- Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
- Repeated shaking with chills
- Runny nose or new sinus congestion
- Muscle pain
- Sore throat
- New GI symptoms
- New loss of taste or smell
Cleaning and Hand Sanitizing
Carthage supplies each venue with hand sanitizer. The Office of Performing and Visual Arts student staff clean the venues and seating one hour prior to the performance.
All patrons attending the performance will be physically distanced by three feet with reserved ticketing. Households will not be seated together, and it is expected that patrons follow protocol and remain in their seats for the duration of the performance. Due to tracing purposes, patrons are not permitted to switch seats.
There will be intermissions at events, however, please do not gather in the lobby.
Meet the Artist/Student
All patrons must go directly to their seats, and once the performance is complete, must leave the building. Work staff needs to clean after the performance, and this is to keep them safe and prevent gatherings.
We cannot guarantee late seating, so please give yourself plenty of time to get to your seat, and we will ask everyone to go to their seats immediately when they arrive.

CAN ANYONE COME TO THE PERFORMANCES?
Yes, we are able to welcome back the public to our events. Seating is limited, and once it is sold out, there is no admittance. Most of our performances are live streamed and are available at www.carthage.edu/multimedia.
I HAVE THREE OR MORE PEOPLE ATTENDING. CAN THEY ALL SIT NEXT TO EACH OTHER?
No, but we can seat you as close to each other as possible. Please do not change your seating when you arrive. We keep track of seating for contact tracing purposes.
CAN I SHOW UP TO THE PERFORMANCE AND GET A TICKET?
We cannot guarantee that there will be tickets available — we are expecting to sell out for most performances. Please obtain your tickets before you leave your home. You can get tickets 24/7 at www.carthage.edu/tickets
I AM A CARTHAGE STUDENT. CAN I GET MY TICKETS ONLINE?
If an event is free, Carthage faculty, staff, and students can get their tickets online. However, for some events that have a price, Carthage faculty, staff, and students receive a complimentary ticket. Visit the Box Office website for ticket information and policies, or contact the Fine Arts Box Office with any additional questions. All complimentary ticket reservations must be redeemed in-person with a Carthage photo I.D. at the Box Office. Email or phone reservations will not be accepted.
