Carthage and COVID-19

The TARC

The TARC will remain closed through the remote learning period, but virtual fitness classes and personal training will be taking place!

Virtual Personal Training

Virtual Personal Training will be offered complimentary to all Carthage students during this trying time. Please email Sam Craig at scraig2@carthage.edu to set up a virtual appointment with a certified personal trainer.

Virtual Group Fitness Classes

Campus Recreation will post workouts to the Campus Recreation Instagram page (carthage_campusrec) as well as competitions, tips, and tricks for working out at home without access to a gym.

Workout Resources from Campus Recreation

Sam Craig, Director of TARC Operations and Campus Recreation, also recommends Les Mills on Demand: “It’s a highly recognized fitness corporation with some of my personal favorite fitness options,” she says. “They have put together an excellent and free online fitness resource.”

Intramurals and Virtual Sports

Intramural Sports will convert to eSports. eSports, also known as electronic sports, is a form of sport competition using video games. Intramural Sports will also have weekly riddles, trivia games, and fitness challenges to participate in on our Instagram page (carthage_campusrec).
