Intramural Sports and Fitness Classes

Campus Recreation and the Athletic Department are developing ways to engage the broader campus community by creatively using outdoor and indoor spaces and equipment to support physical fitness, whilst adhering to the College’s COVID-19 response plan to keep the entire Carthage community safe. The intramural program coordinator, Katie Skora, will roll out intramural and fitness programming throughout the semester. Intramural Sports and Fitness Classes will begin on Monday, Sept. 28.

Please follow the Carthage Campus Recreation (@carthage_campusrec) and Carthage Intramural Sports (@carthage_intramurals) accounts on Instagram, or see the intramural page on Carthage’s athletic website for more information as programs are announced.

Club Sports

In line with the College’s COVID-19 response plan, the Carthage Athletics Department has been working on ways to enable club sport athletes to safely train while adhering to the same guidelines for a phased return to athletics that the varsity programs are following. Until conditions improve with COVID-19, there will be no Carthage-approved club sport competition in the fall; therefore, no visiting teams will be permitted to come to campus, and teams will not be permitted to travel off campus for competitions.

The club sport coordinator, Ryan Castle, will work directly with club sport leaders to create plans to best support each team and their specific needs. For more information please see the Club Sports page on Carthage’s athletic website.
