Keeping Our Community Healthy: A Shared Responsibility
As we move forward in this new era, all Carthage community members — students, faculty, and staff — and campus visitors are expected to take steps to reduce risk for everyone.
-
Wear a face mask when indoors and around others
Face coverings are required indoors, in all common areas, during classes and meetings, and outdoors when physical distancing of at least 6 feet is not possible.
-
Follow physical distancing guidelines
Follow physical distancing guidelines whenever possible. Keep 6 feet distance as you pass others in hallways and when selecting your seat in a meeting or class.
-
Self-monitor for COVID-19 symptoms
All students and employees should self-monitor for symptoms daily. Stay home or in your residence hall room if any symptoms are present.
-
Practice good hygiene
Wash your hands frequently, and for at least 20 seconds, with soap and water. Use hand sanitizer. Avoid touching your face or mask.
-
Keep gatherings small and safe
Limit gatherings and meetings to fewer than 10 people, and make sure all attendees wear face coverings.
-
Contribute to a clean campus
Do your part to keep your classroom, residence hall room, office, and workspace free of the virus. Sanitize shared equipment before and after use.
