Carthage and COVID-19

The Aspire Center

The Aspire Center encourages students to continue applying for and researching job opportunities. Career development resources and remote advising sessions are still available for Carthage students.

Advising

You can schedule a meeting by logging into Handshake or by calling the office at 262-551-5959. Career specialists can conduct phone or video chat appointments. Not sure who your career specialist is? No worries! Your career specialist is now listed on My.Carthage.edu.

Networking and Mentoring

The Aspire Network is an easy-to-use online community for Carthage students, faculty, staff, alumni, and friends. Students can connect with alumni to explore career interests and options, understand available jobs and internships, learn about graduate and professional school, and build a greater sense of community.

Finding Opportunities

Handshake is an excellent place to start finding events, internships, and jobs. Your career specialist can help you identify additional tools and strategies. Many employers have switched to virtual events during this time. Click on “Events” to search for a wide variety of digital opportunities to engage, network, and learn more about companies and careers.

Interview Preparation

Big Interview provides access to interactive interview preparation tools that will sharpen your skills. This is especially important as many firms are now utilizing web-based tools throughout the hiring process.
