    Associate Vice President for Marketing and Communications

    Elizabeth oversees the Office of Marketing and Communications at Carthage College. She and her team lead the strategic direction of the Carthage College brand and core messaging. Their primary focus is to support recruitment, enrollment, retention, fundraising, and engagement.

  • Steven Janiak

    Senior Director of Marketing and Brand Strategy

    As the Senior Director of Marketing and Brand Strategy at Carthage, Steve Janiak oversees our Design and Creative Team. He develops and leads our advertising, and works to ensure a consistent look, tone, and message in all Carthage materials, from recruitment marketing to on-campus signage.

    Kim designs key institutional materials for Carthage including posters, exhibits, advertisements, presentations, brochures, newsletters, flyers, and web elements.

    Marketing Manager

    As the Marketing Manager, Daron designs strategic marketing plans to support the recruitment and admissions cycle of Carthage College. This work is done in close collaboration with the Office of Admissions, the Office of the Provost, and the Office of Continuing Studies.

    Photographer/Videographer

    Sam Payton joined the Office of Marketing and Communications team as a photographer in 2019. She graduated from Carthage in the spring of 2019 with majors in graphic design and communications, and a minor in women and gender studies.

    Director of Content Development and Strategy

    As Director of Content Development and Strategy, Traci is responsible for directing, creating, updating, and maintaining the content on the Carthage website; as well as surfacing and writing news articles, feature stories, and other copy needed across channels to inform our various audiences of the College’s achievements, offerings, and initiatives.

    As Editorial Assistant, Jacqueline oversees publication of The Bridge, the online calendar, email newsletters, and other online communications. She graduated with a bachelor’s degree in English from the University of Wisconsin-Parkside in 2018.

    Samantha Ornig joined the Office of Communications in August 2018 as Editorial Assistant. She received her bachelor’s degree in journalism and public relations from Indiana University-Purdue University of Indianapolis (IUPUI) in 2017 and moved to Kenosha after graduation.
