2022 Carthage College Soccer Camp Information
June 20-22 – Boys & Girls Junior Kickers (Ages 5-8 yrs)
This is an introductory soccer camp designed to improve fundamental techniques with an emphasis on skills and FUN! The objective of the Junior Kickers Camp is to encourage and develop soccer abilities of the young player while providing learning opportunities to grow and build confidence. Campers learn and directly interact with members of the Carthage College Men’s and Women’s Soccer teams in a positive and supportive atmosphere.
June 20-22 – Boys & Girls Day Camp (Ages 7-12 yrs)
9 a.m.-3:30 p.m.
The Full Day camp is specifically designed to teach boys and girls the necessary skills, tactics, and fundamentals of soccer in a fun and educational environment. Campers learn and directly interact with members of the Carthage College Men’s and Women’s Soccer teams in a positive and supportive atmosphere. All campers are grouped by age and ability level and enjoy recreational opportunities including swimming and viewing current soccer videos.
July 22-24 – Boys Firebird ID Camp (Ages 15-18)
Tuition: Resident $495; Commuter $395
*Limited space – All sessions coached by Head Coach Paul Leese
The Firebird ID Camp is intended for High School age players who are actively looking to join the Carthage College Men’s Soccer team. Campers will be evaluated by our very own coaching staff and all sessions will be coached by Head Coach Paul Leese. This camp is a great way to develop a relationship with our players and staff and possibly earn a roster spot on the men’s soccer team. Campers show their skills in competitive games and will be given the highest level of advanced tactical and technical instruction that simulates the College training arena. * This camp is for the serious soccer player that wants to be evaluated by the Carthage College men’s soccer coaching staff. Enrollment is limited and accepted on a first-come-first-serve basis.
July 22-24 – Boys Resident / Commuter Camp (Ages 10-18)
Tuition: Resident $415; Commuter $315
The Residential Academy provides a fun, overnight soccer experience, where players learn new skills and effectively apply them in competitive match situations during camp. Our experienced staff of the high school, club, and college coaches will enhance your training and provide valuable feedback on how you can take your game to the next level. A carefully planned curriculum will maximize the players’ development and teach them ways to continue their training after the academy. The Residential Camp includes our Match Analysis and College Recruiting sessions. * Individuals, groups, and teams are all welcome. Please specify if you are attending this week as part of a group.
July 22-24 – Boys Goalkeeper Resident / Commuter Camp (Ages 10-18)
Tuition: Resident $415; Commuter $315
Specialized Goalkeeper training will take place alongside both Resident and Summer ID camps. Designed for the serious goalkeeper, this training focuses on both the physical and the mental aspects of goalkeeping. The camp’s goal is to enhance each player’s technical, tactical, physical, and psychological ability in order to become a successful goalkeeper. The Goalkeeper camp also prepares campers to become a presence on the field and to develop leadership and communication.
