Family Fun Night - Harry Potter: Women of Hogwarts
Hedberg Library 
The library will transform into Hogwarts with a sorting hat ceremony, wand making, and a variety of wizard classes. The Horticulture Club will present a class on Herbology with Pomona Sprout, and the Chemistry Club has volunteered to do a potions class for us. This is part of the 150 Years of Carthage Women celebration events and Family Weekend.

Theatre Show: Carthage’s New Play Initiative presents ‘The Handbook’
Wartburg Theatre, David Straz Center
Based on true events surrounding the controversy of former New Orleans Saints cheerleader Bailey Davis’ dismissal, “The Handbook” is an incisive account of the rampant discrimination in the world of professional cheerleading and the effects it has on the cheerleaders.

Comedy Magician Michael Kent
Campbell Student Union Auditorium
Join us for a night of magic during Family Weekend! Michael Kent is an American comedian and magician from Columbus, Ohio. He tours internationally, primarily performing a stand-up, comedy-style magic show at colleges, universities, cruise ships, and on overseas military bases.

The Road To Graduation: How Families Can Support Student Success
with Legacy Family Hosts
Todd Wehr Center, 128 B and C
Hear from faculty and academic advisors about how families can best support their students throughout their college years. Multi-generational families of Carthage graduates will guide conversations and share personal experiences from the lens of both student and parent. 

11 a.m.-1 p.m.

Tailgate Lunch and State of the College with President Swallow 
Todd Wehr Center, Jockey B
Attend a tailgate lunch and meet with President John R. Swallow as he addresses families during the State of the College. The program will begin at 11:30 a.m. with a Q and A session to follow. The event is complimentary; however, registration is required.

Casino/Bingo Night
N.E. Tarble Athletic and Recreation Center Fieldhouse
This family-friendly event includes casino-type games for all ages, including the student favorites: Bingo, blackjack, craps, and more! No experience is necessary to win; all participants are entered in the Grand Prize drawing! Use your winnings to enter raffles for electronics, gift cards, games, and the famous cheese ball barrel! Sponsored by the Carthage Activites Board.
