Join us for our Homecoming Kick-Off, the crowning ceremony, an Alumni Brunch, and more fun virtual events we’re hosting for this year’s Homecoming and Family Weekend.

Homecoming Kick-off
Although in-person programs for alumni and families are not possible this year, the Office of Student Involvement has an exciting calendar of events for residential students. Alumni and parents are invited to virtually join in on the fun by watching live event streams, viewing event photo galleries, or virtually casting your vote. Highlighted events include a comedy show with Daniel Franzese, Quiz Bowl, Torchie’s Speedway, and our Banner Competition.

State of the College Townhall Webinar
President John Swallow invites all alumni and parents to tune in and learn more about how Carthage will respond to the pandemic’s effects on students, faculty, and staff.

Homecoming Court Crowning Ceremony
Join the Homecoming Court at Kissing Rock as the 2020 Homecoming King and Queen are crowned.

Forever Red: Virtual Tailgate and Athletics Competitions
Tailgate with alumni and friends of the College in your backyard! Use the hashtag #carthagestayshome to show your Carthage pride on social media. Photos will be available to view on the Homecoming website. You can also browse a view-on-demand library of athletics archival competitions.

10 a.m.

Alumni and Family Brunch
Join fellow alumni for a virtual brunch — BYOB (bring your own brunch)! Alumni Council President Aaron Tinjum ’09 will be joined by President John Swallow; Vice President for Institutional Advancement Tom Kline; Associate Vice President for Institutional Advancement and Executive Director of Alumni and Family Engagement Staci Carson; and fellow alumni to celebrate the impact alumni have had on Carthage students over the past year, and learn more about what lies ahead.

Competing During a Pandemic: A Conversation with Athletic Director Nate Stewart
Join Carthage’s new Athletic Director Nate Stewart, athletics coaches, and moderator President John Swallow as they discuss how Carthage is keeping student-athletes safe and what competition will look like this year.

The Carthage Wind Orchestra plays during Homecoming Worship Service.

Homecoming Worship Service with Pastor Kara Baylor
Alumni, families, and friends are invited to a worship service, which will include confession, reflection, and prayer.

Homecoming Concert
The Carthage Choir and the Carthage Wind Orchestra will perform selections under the direction of Professors Eduardo Garcia-Novelli and James Ripley.
