The TARC: Get Active
“The TARC” is the N. E. Tarble Athletic and Recreation Center at Carthage. Located in the middle of campus off Campus Drive, the 156,000-square-foot facility includes a pool, track, fitness center, racquetball courts, and multipurpose courts for basketball, volleyball, and tennis.
The TARC is available on most Family Fun Nights for a $1 donation to the Kenosha Boys & Girls Club. Swim in the pool, play basketball or racquetball, or use the athletic center.
Activities may vary. Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult. Children under 18 must have an adult directly supervising in the Semler Fitness Center.
Dining on Campus
Take a break for snacks at Einstein’s Bagels or Freshen’s Frozen Yogurt, located in Donna’s Bytes inside Hedberg Library. The Campbell Student Union at the south end of campus offers additional dining options, such as Sub Connection, World of Wings, Baja Fresh, and Seattle’s Best Coffee.
Use the computers and peruse the books in Hedberg Library during Family Fun Nights. The Center for Children’s Literature, located on the library’s main level, has more than 25,000 children’s books.
