New Freshmen Arrival & Move-In
During New Student Arrival, families should enter campus at the north entrance (at the stoplight) and park in the north lots. Student check-in will be held in the A. W. Clausen Center for World Business.
After checking in, residential students will drive south on Campus Drive where Public Safety will direct families to unloading spots. After unloading their vehicle, residential students and their families will need to move their cars to the South Lower Parking Lot, just west of the N. E. Tarble Athletic and Recreation Center (the TARC). Commuting students can leave their vehicles in the student parking sections of the north lots.
Please note:
- Campus Drive will be open to one-way, southbound traffic one hour prior to the start of arrival and one hour after arrival ends.
What to Bring
- Your Student Identification Card. This ID will be required in order for you to start orientation. If you have misplaced your ID, don’t worry. We can make you a new one.
- Your Virtual Check-In Sticker. Upon completion of online check-in through the My.Carthage portal, you will receive a virtual check-in sticker that confirms you have completed all of the check-in requirements. Print/save this sticker and bring it to New Student Orientation for proof of completion.
- Consider bringing a dolly, cart, or wagon to assist you in moving items in and out of the facilities. Carthage does have carts and dollies available, but they are in limited supply.
