Time: 10:00am - 3:00pm CDT September 16
Location: H. F. Johnson Center for the Fine Arts
The Carthage Arts Academy will host an open house on Saturday, Sept. 16 from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. in the Johnson Arts Center, where members of the community can meet our resident artist faculty members and learn more about the programs that Carthage offers. Carthage Arts Academy is an arts initiative developed by Dean of Arts and Humanities Corinne Ness, and music faculty member and highly accomplished pianist Prof. Wael Farouk, and features several Carthage artist faculty members.
What once was a small music community of lessons taught by our talented piano majors has blossomed into a network of highly skilled artists and future music teachers prepared to instruct and inspire students of all ages. It is an opportunity for aspiring musicians—both the young and the young at heart—to begin their journey toward musical excellence, while also presenting an opportunity for Carthage’s expert music students to share their gifts and their passion for music. The Academy hopes to offer affordable, expert lessons and serve the community as an outlet for artistic creativity and instruction.
