Music Event: Carthage Student Piano Concert

Time: 3:00pm CST February 17

Location: A. F. Siebert Chapel

The Carthage College piano students will perform in concert at 3 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 17 in the A. F. Siebert Chapel.

The students will be featured for their hard work under the direction of Professor Wael Farouk. Prof. Farouk brings more than a decade of experience teaching undergraduate and graduate-level piano students at institutes such as the Cairo Conservatory, Converse College, Manhattan School of Music, and Chicago College of Performing Arts at Roosevelt University. His personal performance career has taken him across five continents, where he has played venues like White Hall in St. Petersburg, Schumann’s house in Leipzig, and Carnegie Hall in New York. Professor Farouk, since coming to Carthage, has become the director of the Carthage Arts Academy and was a driving force in the creation of the Carthage Faculty Trio and the Brahms Project.

This event is free and open to the public.
